Can you believe it? Finally I was able to organize and purchase a used bicycle in Germany, which was luckily turning out pretty well for me. If I made the right choice, I will only find out, once I saw it in person.

I hope me and my new horse will get along well with each other…
It took me quite some effort to go online, check out the used market in Germany, find a bike that would fit my budget, make contact with the seller, messages forward and backward, and then finally getting my mum on bord to go and pick up the new ride. I was and am still very excited that she managed to get the “new bike”, which is now awayting me in the garage, which I have never touched ore seen before. All the planning and somehow preparation of the gear I am doing through the pictures that I have available through the website and my old trekking bike that has to serve as a model that I have here in Portugal.
I am very optimistic that things will work out well, and I am so happy with the support I am still receiving, especially to my neighbour and friend Elias, who gave me most of the gear I will be using on this trip, from tent to waterproof bags to cycling trousers, he once wanted to do the same trip and still had a lot of equipment in his storage. Not only is he supporting me, I have sent several requests for equipment into my friends network and it is so heart opening to experience and receiving the love and care by people who give ore lend me their material, it mostly comes along with their own travel stories and wishes that they share with me.
The last two nights I used to get in touch with my equipment, especially to decide which sleeping pad I shall use, as I have a lot of problems to fall asleep at night.

That is also my most limiting factor on my list, wether I will be able to sleep in the tent and recharge my batteries, or… well there is no other option than that. I love the outdoors, I did already some journeys on my bike in the tent, and thats why I know that I have a hard time sleeping in it. So I try to keep it as cozy and nice to my liking as possible, in order to raise the possibility that I will sleep.
The more time is passing, the more I get excited, also to write already more details into my online journal and to share it with all of you. I still haven’t send it to everybody I would like to, as I am still very shy to do all that. So fingers crossed, that things will continue in a smooth way, and that I find the courage to open this up to more people.
Thanks for reading, see you in the next one.
Ps: If you have special wishes, what I shall write about, please let me know, as it has been a lot of fun to try to bring across my project in a nutshell.
